| HC dismisses petition seeking Bharti’s production | | | Early Times Reporter

Justice Sunil Hali of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today dismissed the habeas corpus petition filed by disciple of head-priest of a temple Dinesh Bharti seeking production of Dinesh Bhart in the Court.
Justice Hali, after hearing Advocates CM Sharma and Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner and Additional Advocate General SC Gupta appearing for the state, observed that AGG Gupta has filed an affidavit of IGP Jammu stating that the Dinesh Bharti is not in police custody anywhere in the state. Court after considering the facts further observed that in the face of submission made by AAG, SC Gupta, this petition does not survive and is accordingly dismissed. JNF |
