| Charak reviews district-wise achievements registered in R&B sector | | | JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 07 - Maintaining that quality work and maximum development in every district is imperative for achieving overall progress, the Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak has asked the engineers to ensure that each project is completed within the stipulated time to the utter satisfaction of the masses. Reviewing the physical and financial achievements besides the progress registered on new schemes at a district level meeting of R&B sector convened here this morning, the Minister took stock of the schemes sanctioned, funds alloted and status of execution. Commissioner/Secretary R&B Mr. Atul Dullu apprised the meeting about the progress registered so far under schemes targeted to be completed this year. He asked the engineers to putforth their physical achievements with expenditure incurred scheme-wise and reason for non-completion of various projects in their respective districts. Mr. Charak was informed district-wise about the schemes executed so far under various state and centrally sponsored plans for the current financial year. He was also apprised about under execution projects, which are targeted to be completed in few months. The engineers gave details about the status of double-shift and revised schemes. Emphasizing for speedy completion of schemes under process targeted for this year, the Minister asked the officers to submit report regarding double-shift schemes in each district. He said the purpose of double shift was to ensure timely completion on particular project for which funds were assured. He enquired about various schemes on which work has either stopped or has not yet been started. He said the problems if any regarding any scheme should be conveyed to government immediately so that the same could be mitigated as the priority is maximum development for the convenience of public. |
