Re-constitute Shrine Board: demand Cong leaders

A team of senior Congress leaders of the state have suggested to the all party central team led by home minister Shivraj Patil to re-constitute Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board and hand over the land under dispute at its disposal. They also demand that board should be headed by state subject persons including its members. The team comprising of Dharampal Sharma, Mangat Ram Sharma, Amrit Malhotra, Ch. Lal Singh, G.S Charak and Mula Ram urged upon the central team to resolve the issue at an earliest through dialogue, as per religious faith and feeling of the people. They said the land, under dispute be handed over to shrine Board, for the use of yatris, plus their safety.
Members also apprised the team about the dissentients towards Jammu region during the last 60 years.
Leaders also took serious objections trying to create communal atmosphere in the region by provocative statements by Kashmiri leaders and as such apprise the team about this.
