Jammu | Aug 9

Meeiting of the All Party Delegation from the centre with the Sangarsh Samiti was mere an eye wash, this was stated by the residents of Channi Himmat. People holding placards staged strong resentment over the attitude shown by the delegation sent by the centre. Speaking on the occasion, Parveen Gupta Corporator of the area said that the team was not ready to listen to the main demand on restoration of the land. He said that authorities have called out the army which shows its weakness. The curfew passes issued by the district magistrate were not entertained by the police and the army. He said that Jammuites are burning for the last forty days and no arrangements have been made by the authorities to augment the basic necessities of the people. He termed it sheer discrimination against Jammuites. Residents of the area in one voice said that the agitation will continue till the land is not restored to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
