While extending its full support to Sangarsh Samiti, spearheading the movement for restoration of land at Baltal to SASB, Bahujan Samaj Party at an emergent meeting held under the chairman of its district president and GMC corporator Chaman Lal Bhagat has strongly condemned the provocative statements of Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and the PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti. Charging these leaders of indulging in rhetoric to please separatist leaders and militants, the BSP leader said that in the lust of regaining power in the state these very leaders are putting lakhs of innocent Kashmiris to hardships. Separatist leaders including Geelani are spitting venom and are trying to give communal colour to the peaceful agitation in Jammu he said and added their nefarious designs would not be allowed to succeed. BSP leader Tarsem Khullar coordinator districts of Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban has appealed to the people not only of Jammu province but of the state as a whole to remain together irrespective of religion, caste and creed and defeat nefarious designs of separatists and Kashmiri leaders. Paying tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the present cause, the meeting demanded that state government should sanction financial assistance to the families of the martyrs. Among others present in the meeting were Makhan Singh, R K Raja, A K Manwa, Madhu Khullar, Harjeet, Yash Raj Singh Salaria, Anil Sharma, Chanchal Sharma, Kanchan Sharma, Kamal Kishore Sharma, Ajay Kashap, Puran Chargotra and Deepak Bangotra. |
