| JSM condemns attacks on Jammu base officers in Kashmir | | Virender urges centre to accede demands forthwith | | Early Times Reporter

Prof. Virender Gupta, President Jammu State Morcha (P) has strongly criticized and condemned the withdrawal in curfew relaxation in Jammu region and the use of the Indian Army to suppress all movement in the localities. These strong arm suppressions is taking place where we are celebrating the Quit India Movement of 1942 against the British Raj by Mahatma Gandhi on this every date.
Strongly criticizing the composition of the All Party Delegation headed by the Union Home Minister which has its members as Mahbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and Sof-ud-din Soz, all Kashmiri Muslims and who themselves were responsible and instrumental in engineering this turmoil and creating communal tension in the entire state, he said the decision of the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti to boycott this delegation was a correct one and upholds the honor and dignity of Jammuties. There is no further requirement of any such delegations as the demands of the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti are very clear and concise, he added. JSM (P) asks the Central Govt. instead of dilly dallying it should immediately accede to these demands to bring normalcy and peace in Jammu region, he said.
Condemning the cowardly and communally biased attacks on the Judicial Officers, Doctors, Engineers, Drivers and other persons including Government servants belonging to Jammu region by the motivated miscreants in Kashmir Valley, the JSM leader has demanded protection to all the Jammuties and other outsiders presently in the valley, which the Government has so far failed to do so. JSM (P) also warns that this matter is very sensitive and can lead to serious repercussions.
Lashing out at the Kashmir leadership for communally and regionally polarizing the people of J&K State by giving false; provocative and communally surcharged and secessionist statements, Prof Gupta has also criticized the National Print and Electronic Media along with the Government of India for giving wide publicity to all these statements and not projecting the true picture of this agitation. By their these actions it gives an impression that they too are conspiring against the present nationalists and patriotic movement of Jammuties and against the region which has functioned as the base camp for fight against the fundamentalism, secessionisms and terrorism prevalent in the Kashmir Valley, he added. |
