| Karra warns SASS against browbeating Kashmiris | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Aug 9
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim tirade launched by Shri Amarnath Sangharash Samiti (SASS) under the garb of land agitation, manifests the larger design of the Sangh Parivar to divide the State on regional and religious lines. Ridiculing the illogical boycott of Kashmiri politicians by SASS, senior PDP leader Tariq Hameed Karra in a statement said it is now clear that, patronized by RSS and Bajrang Dal, SASS is trying to give shape to the long-cherished concealed agenda of the Sangh Parivar to divide the State on regional and religious lines. He said such a chauvinistic and parochial conduct of SASS is fraught with disastrous consequences and Samiti would be solely responsible for disintegration of the State. "Let me make it clear to SASS leaders, they should not try to browbeat the Kashmiri politicians as such idiotic actions could cause more harm to the people of Jammu than any other region," he said. Revealing that the ongoing agitation in Jammu is being strategized and spearheaded by the RSS and Bajrang Dal cadres from outside the State, Karra said he has credible inputs that thousands of Sangh Parivar activists from Gujarat, UP, Maharashtra and MP have infiltrated Jammu and it is they who are planning and spearheading the protests there. "I am sure even certain quarters in the police and other security agencies are aware of the presence of such non-State subject trouble-mongers in Jammu," he said and wondered that it is beyond his comprehension that why police is not taking any action against such subversive elements who are out to spread hatred and targeted violence in the region. Karra said enough is enough and the saner voices in Jammu should now come out openly and with force to counter the nefarious designs of RSS and Bajrang Dal who are using the region to further their political and extremist agenda. "The Government must also probe who is promoting and funding the SASS and whose agenda the Samiti is carrying ahead," he said and added that a handful of nefarious elements can't be allowed to whip up the religious and emotional passions in the region under the garb of Amarnath land issue, to further the bigoted Sangh Parivar ideology of hatred and extremism. "The law must take its course now," he said. |
