| Illicit timber worth Rs 80,000 seized at Sopore | | | SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 07 – As part of anti smuggling drive, the Forest Protection Force Gamma unit K-07 Baramulla headed by Deputy Director, raided the house of one Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganai S/O Abdul Rehman Ganai R/O Botingoo Sopore wherein illicit timber Kail 34.54 cfts was seized on September 1, 2006.
While in another operation during intervening night of 4 and 5 September 2006 the party of Botingoo Sopore seized 33.35 cfts of Deo/Kail of sawn timber. The value of the seized timber is about Rs 80,000. The seized stuff has been carted down to Gamma unit K-07 and the cases have been registered and handed over to the concern authorized officers. |
