Restore land to SASB-re-iterate support to Samiti: JKS

The Jat Kalyan Sabha (JKS) has expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation in the Jammu region and the repressive measure being used by the administration to crush the people’s movement. An emergent meeting held by Ch. Kamal of JKS held Kashmir based emergent politicians responsible for the prevailing situation and reiterated its full support to Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti and urged the governor to restore the land immediately to the shrine board and end the ongoing agitation.
He also urged all leaders of Jammu region irrespective of their parties to rise above the party lines and support the agitation fully to prevent the further damage to the region by Kashmiri leadership who always take Jammu people for granted and treat them as second class citizen.
In the meeting members of the Sabha strongly condemned the increasing incidents of firing by the security forces on the unarmed agitating people of Jammu region, and took a serious note of the deliberate mischievous, and false propaganda of certain Kashmir based leaders on the ongoing agitation and criticized that the utterances of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Sajjad Lone that the agitation in Jammu is communal in nature and against the particular community.
In the meeting of the Sabha also appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood. Sabha also condemned the incident of harrasemtn of the judges of subordinate courts from Jammu region posted in the valley ans were forced to leave the valley.
Sabha members asked the administration to create congenial atmosphere in Jammu province for dialogue on the ongoing agitation and appealed the state and the central govt to immediately resolve the issue taking into consideration the sentiments of the people of Jammu region.
Prominent who attended the meeting were Ch.Sardari Lal, Ch. Dewan Singh, Ch. Girdhari Lal, Ch. Jasbir Singh, Ch. Harbans Lal, Ch. Rashpal Singh, Ch. Sampuran Singh, Ch. Som Raj, Ch. Bopinder Bajwa, Ch. Sat Pal, Ch. Krishan, Ch. Anil, Ch. Drashan Lal, Ch.Om Singh, Ch. Sham and Ch. Kamal Singh.
