The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Community in a meeting held here today unhder the Chairmanship of Darshan Lal Motan reiterated unconditional support to Sangarsh Samiti in its struggle for restoration of land to Shrine Board. In the meeting the inflammatory statements being issued by the Kashmiri leaders were also condemned and termed as rhetoric to please separatists and militants. Community members who deliberated upon the prevailing situation arisen in the aftermath of revocation of land allotment order, were anguished over the callous and insensitive approach of the state administration and the control Govt. The long spell of curfew and assault on fundamental rights of the citizens which has adversely affected the economic and social life, were severly criticized by the meeting. The community members jointly appealed the state and the central govts. to immediately resolve the issue taking into consideration the sentiments of the people of the Jammu region. It would be quite in the fitness of things that the govt. of India seriously reflects as to why this struggle of Jammu has turned into mass movement and initiate steps to mitigate the perception of discrimination against Jammu, said R.L. Kaith, General Secretary of J&K Batwal Association. The meeting proposed to the Govt. of India to annex Himachal Pradesh State to J&K with an object to save the people of Jammu region from the slavery of Kashmiri leadership. It called Kashmir ‘a lame horse’. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included R.L. Kaith, Dr. R.K. Kaith, Beli Ram, Ravi Kaith, Dhian Chand Lakhotra, Des RajKaith, Madan Raj, Naresh Kumar, Jai Kumar, Ramesh Chanjotra, Tej Ram, Chuni Lal, Sat paul Lakhotra, Shammi Kumar Shashi Kumar and Girish Kumar. |
