| Maltreatment to ‘Aman Yatra’ activists flayed | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 10
The administration unit of the Janta Dal (United) have strongly condemned the role of the state administration in giving ill treatment to the leaders of National Muslims Morcha accompanying the ‘Aman Yatra’ from Delhi to Kashmir. In a meeting chaired by the Vishnu Kumar Mishra here today, members discussed latest political scenario prevailing in the state and discussed the various issues and impressed upon the union home minister, Shiv Raj Patil to adopt direct approach while dealing with the current with the situation in the wake of violent protests over the Shri Amarnath land transfer issue. Party also observed that army should be sent back to the barracks without the further delay as it is sending a bad signal to the entire country and the people having nationalist approach are being killed by the army as in Kathua. Party also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all arrested leaders and activists during the agitation.
