| Capacity of Gladni grid station being raised to 550 MVA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 10
The work on installation of 150 MVA transformer at Gladni Grid Station here is going on round the clock. The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sudhanshu Pandey visited Gladni this afternoon and took stock of the work on installation and commissioning of the transformer. He was informed that the transformer and its all accessories have already reached at Gladni Grid Station and presently assembling of transformer, filtration of oil and dry-out process is going on war footing. Major accessories like radiators, bushing, etc. have been installed whereas finer work including cabling and fitting of protection gear is in progress to make the transformer functional. Meanwhile, 133.33 MVA single phase unit which was damaged on June 11 and had been sent for repairs to BHEL, Jhansi is ready and being dispatched to Jammu shortly. Another 133.33 MVA unit which was damaged on July 2 has also been dispatched from Jammu to BHEL, Jhansi for repairs. With the arrival and commissioning of both these units, which have been sent for repairs, the 400 MVA capacity of the Gladni Grid Station would not only be restored but instead later go up to 550 MVA. The Development Commissioner Power, Mr. R. K. Seli and Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance and RE, Jammu, Mr. A. K. Koul were among those present on the occasion. |
