7/31/2020 11:55:06 PM

Advocate Rekha Mahajan

After five centuries in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Parliament for the construction of Ram temple. The Supreme Court had given a decision in favour of the temple and within three months had decided to build a trust. The Modi government introduced the bill in Parliament after giving the cabinet approval to the trust.
During the Babur era, the Ram temple in Ayodhya was torn down and the mosque constructed. It was a dispute for the last five centuries that has changed the political condition and direction of the country. Since independence, this dispute has affected the politics of the country. There were agitations all over the country regarding Ayodhya, legal battles were also fought and the way of construction of Ram temple was paved through Supreme Court.
After the war of Mahabharata, Ayodhya was devastated but even at that time the existence of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi was safe and remained intact till about 14th century.
According to the facts, on the orders of Babur, a mosque was built in Ayodhya in 1527-28 by breaking the grand Ram temple on the Ram Janmabhoomi. Later, after the name of Babri, this mosque was named Babri Masjid.
This place is the birthplace of Ram (Ram Janmabhoomi). Ram was a historical legend and there is ample evidence of this. According to research, it is found that Lord Rama was born in 5114 BC.
- After Lord Shriram, Love settled Shravasti and it gets independent mention for the next 800 years. It is said that Lord Rama's son Kush once again rebuilt the capital Ayodhya. After this, it continued to exist for the next 44 generations of Suryavansh.
Ayodhya, the last holy pilgrimage center for Hindus, is an ancient religious city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This city is situated on the banks of the holy Saryu river. According to Ramayana, Ayodhya was founded by Manu. Ayodhya is one of the 7 holy pilgrimage centers of Hindus. Which includes Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika and Dwarka.
A long movement led by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party to liberate this place and build a new temple there. The Ayodhya land dispute case is one of the longest running cases in the country. The dispute in Ayodhya began some 400 years ago, when the mosque was built there. The real controversy began on 23 December 1949, when the idols of Lord Rama were found in the mosque. On 6 December 1992, lakhs of activists of other Hindu organizations including BJP, VHP and Shiv Sena demolished the disputed structure.
In Year 1528: The Mughal emperor Babur built the mosque (at the disputed site). Hindus claim that this place is the birthplace of Lord Rama and there was a temple here earlier.
From the years 1853–1949: In 1853 there were riots around this place for the first time. In 1859 the English administration erected fences around the disputed site. Muslims were allowed to worship inside the structure and Hindus outside on the platform.
The year 1949: The real controversy started on 23 December 1949, when the idols of Lord Rama were found in the mosque. Hindus said that Lord Rama appeared, while Muslims alleged that someone quietly kept the idols there at night. The UP government ordered the removal of the idols, but the District Magistrate K.K. Nair expressed his inability to carry out this order out of fear of riots and the instigation of Hindus. The government locked it up as a disputed structure.
Year 1950: Two applications were filed in Faizabad Civil Court. In this, permission was asked to worship Rama Lala in one and permission to keep the idol of Lord Rama in the disputed structure in the other. In 1959, Nirmohi Arena filed a third petition.
Year 1961: The UP Sunni Waqf Board filed an application demanding the possession of the disputed site and the removal of statues.
Year 1984: In 1984, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad set up a committee to replace the disputed structure.
Year 1986: U.P. On the petition of C. Pandey, Faizabad District Judge K.J. M. Pandey, on 1 February 1986, ordered the Hindus to remove the lock from the structure, allowing them to worship.
December 6, 1992: Millions of activists of other Hindu organizations, including BJP, VHP and Shiv Sena, demolish the disputed structure. Riots erupted between Hindus and Muslims across the country, killing more than 2 thousand people.
Year 2002: A train carrying Hindu activists was set on fire in Godhra, killing 58 people. Due to this, more than 2 thousand people died in the riots.
Year 2010: The Allahabad High Court, in its judgment, ordered the disputed site to be divided into 3 equal parts between the Sunni Waqf Board, Ramlala Virajaman and Nirmohi Akhara.
Year 2011: The Supreme Court stayed the Allahabad High Court's decision on the Ayodhya dispute.
Year 2017: Supreme Court calls for Out of Court Settlement. Charges of criminal conspiracy on top BJP leaders were reinstated.
8 March 2019: The Supreme Court sent the case for arbitration. The panel was asked to conclude the proceedings within 8 weeks.
1 August 2019: Arbitration panel submits report.
2 August 2019: The Supreme Court said that the arbitration panel failed to resolve the case.
August 6, 2019: Daily hearing of Ayodhya case begins in Supreme Court.
16 October 2019: Hearing in Ayodhya case completed. The Supreme Court reserved the verdict.
The five judges Supreme Court bench heard the title dispute cases from August to October 2019.On 9 November 2019, the Supreme Court ordered the land to be handed over to a trust to build the Hindu temple. It also ordered to the government to give alternate 5 acre land to Sunni Waqf Board to build the mosque.
On 5 February 2020, the trust known as Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra was created by the Government of India. The trust will oversee the construction of the Ram Mandir.
This is what Sri Rama has created, the temple construction is to begin on 5 August 2020, Ram's creation was such that this 100-year-old case wins Ram Lala with full dignity in the Supreme Court and the temple of Maryada Purushottam Shri Rama will start. On 5 August 2020, a new chapter will be added in the history of India. 30 years ago Lal Krishna Advani ji, Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi ji, Uma Bharti ji, and Kalyan Singh ji, along with Sasam and all the Ram devotees from all over the world and the world started the auspicious time for the spiritual Ram temple in Ayodhya. It is a matter of coincidence that the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who was the charioteer of the Ram Mandir Rath Yatra 30 years ago, will lay the foundation of the Ram temple on August 5 at 12:15 pm and will worship the land.
August 5, will be a festive day for the whole of India. The date of August 5 also matters because on this day by abolishing Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir was fully integrated with India.
It is an appeal to everyone to celebrate this day as a celebration by waving the tricolor in every house in Jammu and Kashmir, at square intersections, on big buildings, at 9 am on August 5, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Sit in the temple of the house, do bhajan kirtan, distribute prasad and celebrate the evening by lighting a lamp in the house.
