| Shut down observed to show solidarity with Baig cripples normal life in Bla | | | Srinagar, September 7: The overwhelming response of people to call for one day shut down crippled normal life in Baramulla township and traders stage a dharna at main chowk to register their strong protest against PDP top brass for recalling Baig from the coalition ministry.
Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that shops and commercial establishments were closed and vehicular traffic went off the roads. Meanwhile activists and office bearers of Beopar Mandal Baramulla and Fruit Growers Association assembled under a tent where they staged a dharna to protest PDP leadership's decision to recall Baig from coalition ministry. The banners spotted throughout the town anti-PDP slogans. The streets wore a deserted look and work in Government offices was disrupted for the whole day.
