'Seperatists misleading Kashmiris on blockade issue'

The BJP on Monday accused separatist groups of misleading people on the Amarnath land row and said that there was no blockade on Jammu-Srinagar national highway as claimed by these outfits.
"The blockade charge held out by the separatists is a myth concocted by them to distract people's attention from the erstwhile Congress government's surrender on land issue," senior BJP leader Chaman Lal Gupta today said.
He told reporters that the separatists were simply trying to divert the people's attention by claiming economic blockade which never existed.
"There is no blockade as vehicles on the Pathankot-Jammu- Srinagar have been plying," the former Union Minister said.
In fact, the state's presentation before the all-party delegation was that "there is free flow of traffic on the national highway," Gupta said.
The truth is that separatists are now abandoning the land issue to non-existent blockade, he said adding they are trying to pass on the buck to Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti, spearheading the Jammu agitation, so that they call off the movement.
