A condolence meeting was held today by the J&K Christian Dalit Association under the chairmanship of S Peter, to condole the sad demise of retired Bishop Hippolypus Kunnun Ken Ofm, the first Bishop of Jammu Srinagar diocese, who breathed his last the other day at Kerala.
Members paid rich tributes to the late Rev Bishop and recalled his services rendered by him to the people of the state in general and the community in particular. The members while paying rich floral tributes to the departed soul said the gulf created by the sad demise of Bishop Hippolypus shall be difficult to be filled in.
The JKCDA members observed two minutes silence and prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul.
Among others who were present in the condolence meeting included John Bhatti, Saleem Mashi, P. Kenny, George Mashi, Beli Ram, Makhan Lal, Des Raj, Raja Naved Ahmed, O.P Bali, Nadia, Simran Paul and Naina etc. |
