| Babu flays PDP’s ‘provocative’ statements | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 11
Babu Singh former minister has strongly condemned the anti-national as well as anti-Jammu statements of PDP leaders during the last over a month. Singh while addressing media persons here today said, people of Jammu are civilized people and knows better what is good for them, and such pay no heed towards the provocative statements of PDP leaders. He said people of Jammu always believe in communal harmony of the state, and as such give no importance to the sentiments of those frustrated leaders, as they loss the power due to this mistake. Referring to land controversy, he demanded immediate amendment in shrine board act, and urged the govt to return the land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board at an earliest. He said all members of the board should be state subjects and governor should have no role in shrine affairs, if not state subjects. He also condemned the attitude of all party delegations, which ignore Jammu people in giving compensation, while Kashmir people have been granted liberal financial assistance. Singh appealed both Jammu & Kashmir leaders maintain peace, harmony and refrain from any type of violence, and don’t give such statements which will hurt the sentiments of people, he urged for a dialogue which can lead to right path. |
