| One Cr sanctioned for pahari hostel | | |

State Govt has provided Rs one crore for construction of hostel for pahari at Kupwara and till the building is constructed the hostel will be run at rented buildings.
This was disclosed by the vice chairman of the pahari advisory board Shabir Ahmed Khan during his visit to Kupwara to inspect the site for hostel for pahari children’s. He said that the pahari hostel would be started at the rented building till the hostel is constructed. Khan also disclosed that similar hostel is being constructed at Jammu to accommodate 100 pahari students. He said that the hostel has already been setup at rented building and the site of the hostel has been earmarked and the construction will started early. H on behalf of pahari speaking people thanked the chief minister for providing funds for hostel. He also urged for ST status to pahri speaking.
