| Essential commodities distributed among needy | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 12
Vivekananda Kendra Kanya Kumari branch, Jammu (a spiritual oriented service mission) in association with Resham Ghar Colony Welfare Association today distributed the essential goods to the people belonged to the needy and down trodden sections of the society that are effected due to the continuous bandh in Jammu. The essential ration items like Atta, Rice, Sugar, Pulses, Mustard Oil, Potatoes, Onion, Tea and Powder Milk were distributed among more than those more than 50 families that are totally dependent of daily earnings. During last few days Vivekananda Kendra Kanya Kumari Branch have already in collaboration with the several other societies have distributed ration to the needy people at Shakti Nagar, Talab Tillo, Krishna Nagar and Rajpura. But the Resham Ghar Colony Welfare Association approached them to organize a similar event in the area. The association members on Sunday also organized a 'Langar' in the area where hundreds of people took their mid-day meals. The funds for this social purpose were provided by the people of the locality, who are willing to help the brethren in this tough time. Both the organizations have also extended their support to Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) for spearheading the on going agitation for the restoration of 800 kanal of land back to Shtri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). The prominent who were present on the spot are S K Jain, Nagar Pramukh, O P Gupta, Nagar Sanchalak of Vivekananda Kendra Kanya Kumari branch and Ravi Sharma, Ramesh Sabharwal, Surinder Gandotra, Vimal Uppal, Satya Sethi and Anmol Sethi from Resham Ghar Colony Welfare Association. |
