| Bank employee’s federation flays Sahai’s statement | | | Early Times Reporter

The jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF) have criticized the statement of Ram Sahai, president, chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) with regard to working of banks in the province.
As per a press release, there is no truth in Sahai’s statement, that bank employees shirk work, but the continuing agitation and imposition of curfew and bandh call given by the Sangarsh Samiti hamper regular working of all departments, which include bank also.
Members of JPBEF in a meeting took serious note of Ram Sahai remarks and strongly criticized the double standard adopted by him.
Ashwani Pradhan, general secretary, of federation said, during curfew bank employees took care to load ATM, with cash so to provide some relief to the public, besides to provide salary and pension to the customers. He said, being a member of the Sangarsh Samiti, how Sahai has forget the Samiti’s directions. Members in the meeting appealed to Sahai to desist from such activities, if not, and then federation will be compelled to boycott CCI.
Members also observed two minutes silence to condole the demise of the people killed during the agitation. A strong appeal on the occasion was made by the members to intellectuals to fuid out some amicable and logical solution of the present crisis. |
