JSM (P) to celebrate Independence Day as a pledge day

While maintaining that it would celebrate this year's Independence Day as a 'pledge day', Jammu State Morcha (Progressive) today condemned incidents of violence in Kishtwar and reinforcement of armed forces in Jammu.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, president JSM (P) Prof. Virender Gupta said that JSM (P) has decided to celebrate the Independence Day as a pledge day and appealed all the people of Jammu region to take pledge on this day for liberating the region from Kashmiri rulers.
Condemning the Kishtwar incident, he said that violence in the district erupted only as of the government had failed to deploy security forces on time in the area to avoid tension; however, he revealed that the cause of violence was a bomb blast that went off in the hands of a Moulvi spearheading the rally.
He also condemned reinforcement of Army in Jammu and said that this would effect on the credibility of the Indian forces who were not employed to check curfew passes of people.
"The people's movement in Jammu could not be crushed anyhow as they were nationalistic and patriotic to very core of their hearts", he said and asserted that the people of Jammu would fight till restoration of land to SASB.
Accusing Kashmir leadership for trying to communalize the issue, he said that these leaders were befooling masses in Kashmir on economic blockade and maintained that the people of Kashmir should identify the real forces responsible for the present mess in the state.
The Morcha President demanded immediate de-recognition of PDP by the Election Commission of India and wanted registration of cases against Mehabooba Mufti, Hurriyat leaders and others for their anti-national and communal statements.
He further sought compensation for intimates of Jammu at par of Kashmir fruit growers and stated that the Home Minister should also announce a similar package for the fruit and vegetable growers, traders , industrialists , transporters , travel and hospitality industry of Jammuites who too have suffered during this agitation.
Others present on the occasion included Sr. vice president H B Khajuria, General Secretaries Digviajy Singh and Divender Singh Jamwal, Chander Uday Sharma, Mahesh Sharma and Shiv Ratan Singh.
Meanwhile, JSM (P) reiterated to continue its support to Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samati, demanding of granting land to SASB.
