Chaman voices concern over anti-national activities in valley

Accusing the Congress led UPA govt of New Delhi of opting for pendulum approach in the troubled Jammu and Kashmir instead of going by the provisions of constitution of which they are under oath, the former union minister and senior leader of BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has voiced his grave concern over the anti national activities in the valley as also elsewhere.
As per a press release, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta also expressed his shock and pain over the sad communal violence in Kishtwar and demanded immediate probe to identify the guilty operating from with in the administration and outside. He said that the administration in Kishtwar stands in the dock that why the timely measures were not taken as the agent provocators had shown the signs of their evil moves when on August 10 itself, when they are made highly provocative statements from religious places in wake of the death of Hurriyat Conference leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz in Kashmir.
The BJP leader felt that the antinational activities were whipped up under a plan to divert of the attention of the country from the situation resulting in the land transfer agitation of the Sangarsh Samiti and more so, the communal trouble in Kishtwar was engineered evidently to communalize situation in certain areas of Jammu too, to provide credence to ill-conceived utterances by the leaders of separatists as also those of the so called secular parties suggesting for communal division of the state especially the region of Jammu by talking of two and half districts as Late. Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah used to talk in early 1959 before his deposition and arrest by his colleagues.
The BJP leader said that the people of Jammu during all these years of trouble and turmoils have stood unitedly despite over five lakh Kashmiri pandits and other minorities were forced out of the valley. Not only these migrants, the people of Jammu have also accommodated about six thousand Kashmiri Muslim families who have been termed as political migrants.
He cautioned the people of Jammu to remain at guard of those fundamentalists and secessionists who wanted to create communal problems and disturb the harmony of this region also but this regions also but for their nefarious moves, the release added.
