In view of the latest political developments in the state J&K ex-service man league in a meeting held under its president, Maj Gen, Goverdhan Singh Jamwal showed grave concern over the violence and the loss of life and appeal to all including the ex- serviceman not to make it politic and maintain communal harmony at all cost. It was decided in the meeting to contribute Rs 11000 to the Sangarsh Samities Memorial Fund. Brig Gulai President India Ex-serviceman League has offered full support to the. Samiti on behalf of 56 lakh ex-serviceman of the country. The league appealed to the people not to interrupt supplies on the National Highways. They also appealed to the Administration to be patient and humans as the Protestors are neither anti-national nor criminals. They are fighting for a cause. The veterans also advised the army to win lack the heart of Jammu people who are disciplined and patriotic and have laid down their lives for the country and the state. The seasoned soldiers advise the govt for resolving the issues as further delay would be harmful. Since the yatra is almost over the issue may be frozen with status as in Apr 08 for six months till elections are over. |
