| Implement High court’s interim order over land row: SP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 13
Samajwadi Party (SP) in a resolution adopted here today have demanded, that the directions contained in the High Court’s interim order be implanted till a final and lasting solution to the entire satisfaction to the people of the state is evolved. Addressing the members of the party its state chief Shiekh Abdul Rahman expressed deep concern that till date no solution to the land issue has been formed, despite the fact that the agitation launched in the regard for the last 45 days have caused multiple problems to the common masses. The worst suffer are daily wagers, laborers, pheriwalas, students and sick persons. The meeting also lamented the report strayed of giving communal tinge to the ongoing agitation by some mischievous elements and interests with an eye over the forthcoming state elections and appealed the people of both Jammu and Kashmir to condemn such elements including political parties, which indulge in communal violence and venom, for their vote bank politics and thus causing irreparable loss to the unity and integrity of the state. With regards to Shrine Board and Muslim Aquaf Board, Rehman said the SP is against their being headed by Governor and chief minister respectively and according through a resolution, asked the governor, Vohra to make amendments in the relevant sections of constitution to ensure that no political, Government Official or for that matter non state subject, could be a member of these boards. The SP Office bearers also noted with satisfaction the victory of India in the “10 meter Air gun event” and felicitated Abhinav Bindra for bringing individual laurel for the first time in the history of Olympics games to India. In the meanwhile, the SP state President, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, has also condemned the communal violence in Kishtwar and demanded stern action under the law of the land against the culprit, who so ever they might be. |
