District Development Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Afzal today received Charri Mubarak of Lord Shiva at Dashnami here this morning.
Thousands of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, civil and police administration were present on the occasion.
Guard of honour was also presented by district police to Charri Mubarak before its departure to Shri Budha Amarnathji temple at Rajpura Mandi in Poonch.
A large number of devotees accompanied the Charri Mubarak amidst chanting of religious hymns.
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the devotees will pay obeisance at the Holy Mace.
The district administration and BSF have made arrangements of langer, medicare, drinking water, power and accommodation for yatries. |
