J&K National Conference wishes the people of Jammu a happy Independence Day. In a meeting of National Conference leaders here, the party extended its greetings to the people of Jammu on the eve of Independence Day and appealed to the people of Jammu & Kashmir to maintain its harmony and secular values. They said the state is passing through a difficult stage and all the people of the state should work together to maintain the rich traditions of secularism and communal harmony in the state. They said that the people of the state must take a resolve on this day to uphold the nationalist values and work towards strengthening bond of Jammu & Kashmir with the country. They said that people should pay homage to pay to the great leaders of the Nation and the State who laid down their lives for the Independence and sovereignty of the country and work towards strengthening the sovereign republic of the country, which is based on secularism and equality. They also hoped that the present crisis will be early and amicably sorted out. The meeting chaired by Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President, Jammu province was attended by Rattan Lal Gupta, Sr. Vice President, Surjeet Singh Slathia former minister, Kr. Rachpal Singh, ex-MLA, S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, MLC, Devender Singh Rana, MLC and others. |
