| KPS extend support to SASB | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 14
The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) has extended support to the ongoing agitation people’s movement in Jammu for restoration of the land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). The Sabha in a press release strongly feels that the cause of Jammu people is absolutely genuine and it must be attended to and agreed upon without any further delay. The manner in which all young and old persons are actively participating in the ongoing agitation irrespective of caste, creed or religion, is a teswtimony to the fact that Jammu people feel neglected and discriminated by the administration since long. KPS said that it is disappointing to note that there has been a belated response to this mass agitation by the central government. We impress upon central government and the governor of the state to restore the land immediately to SASB so that the peace returns to the state soon. The Sabha also appeals for maintaining the rich traditions of Jammu and remain vigilant against elements who exploit such situation to weaken the cause of the movement. It is also required that the politicians should exercise restraint and take care not to vitiate the already surcharged atmosphere. |
