In Jammu city, the oath ceremonies were held at Talab Tillo, Subhash Nagar, Rehari, Sarwal Colony, Ustad Mohalla, Janipur, Sanik Colony, Sanjay Nagar, Gangyal and Gandhi Nagar. At Gandhi Nagar people burnt the copies of ‘Times of India’ which published an article by Sumit Ganguly in its yesterday’s issue inflicting injuries on the sentiments of Jammuites by using derogatory, un-ethical and insulting comments against the people of Jammu region, who are on a agitation for the last 46 days against the communal, anti – national and parochial actions of the Kashmiri leaders along with the Central and State Government in the matter of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board land issue. In the article he has stated “It (New Delhi) must firmly urge the BJP to call off its ‘Dogs in Jammu”. Such a language shows the shallowness of the writer and also the editor who has published this article. JSM has urged the people to stop reading this newspaper adding that the Morcha will also explore the possibility of filing a defamation case against the writer and the editor of the paper, the handout said. |
