As a part of Independence Day celebrations, the District Development Commissioner Kathua, Mandeep Kaur hosted “AT HOME” at Kathua today which was among others attended by the district officers, media persons and prominent citizens.
On this occasion, the Information Department organized a colorful cultural evening where renowned artists of the department like Jeevan Sharma, P.K tendon and others enthralled the audience with the patriotic songs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mandeep Kaur lauded the role of coordinating departments with the special mention of Information Department, PWD, Police, Education, Youth Services and Sports, Municipal Council and Revenue department for putting their hard efforts for making the Independence Day function a success. The main aim of celebrating this National Day is to remember those martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for freedom. |
