| Why is PM silent over Amarnath land transfer issue: Sangarsh Samiti | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 16
Leaders of the Amarnath yatra sangarsh samiti on saturday raised the issue of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's silence over Amarnath land transfer row. Addressing a press conference here today in Geeta Bhawan Advocate Tilka Raj Sharma told reporters, "we fail to understand why is our Prime Minister maintaining a stoic silence over the issue of Amarnath land transfer till date". He said it is really worrisome our Prime Minister is only giving lectures and issuing appeals without taking any stand over the issue.Till date, he has chaired all party meeting, union home minister briefed him and submitted a report of the all party delegation yet he has not taken any decision. He drew parallels between the condition of the Prime Minister and a patient and said there are patients who depend on double dose and time has now come to administer double dose to a patient. He said in the coming days the activists of the sanagarsh samiti would court arrest in the next phase of agitation. He said an approximately 1 lakh people would court arrest from August 18 to put pressure on the centre. We have informed the state administration about our schedule programme and we warn the administration in advance to make arrangements to handle the situation. |
