Two Bangladeshi Nationals, who had reportedly completed their sentence, escaped from a police Lock-up where they were kept for deportation, here this evening. Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that two Bangla Nationals who had completed their detention period, escaped from police custody in Satwari area of the Jammu city, this evening. "Both Razaq Ahmad and Main Sadiq were arrested some where in 2006-07 and were lodged in Udhampur Jail" sources claimed adding they had completed their turn and were being deported tomorrow. The duo reportedly escaped this evening from the police station where they were lodged yesterday, sources added. However sources maintained that they were set free by the police on the promise they will straight way go back to other state and will not remain here. This is second time when some detainee escaped from Satwari police station as earlier one foreign national of Youganda escaped from the Jail last year. It was reliably learnt that due to the space problem in jails, the Bangla national who are arrested while crossing the international border in R S Pura sector are left free by the police. "This is another headache for us and we have to feed them till they remain in custody" sources quoting a police officer to have said adding every month dozens of these people come to cross the border. Though the police was tight lipped over the incident and refuses to commit on the issue. |
