| DPS Udhampur to host district level inter zonal AAG competitions | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Sept 8: The opening ceremony of district level Inter Zonal AAG (Boys & Girls) competitions 2020-2021 organised by Dist. Youth services & sports officer Udhampur was held at Delhi Public School Udhampur today. Dr. Saleem-Ur-Rehman (Director General Youth services & Sports UT J&K ) graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Dr. JC Gupta Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Udhampur was the guest of honour. The program started with a big pomp and show today in the lash green lawns of DPS Udhampur was witness with the participation of 365 participants. Six zones including Udhampur, Jib, Chenani, Tikri, Panchari, & Gholdhi are participating in district level inter zonal AAG competitions 2020-2021. Today Kho Kho Matches & Volleyball Matches were held, the program that started off today will be concluded on 16th September 2020. The Chief Guest Jnb. Dr. Saleem-Ur-Rehman (Director General Youth services & Sports UT J&K highly appreciated the event organisers and said sports is the most important part for physical development of students The chief guest also emphasised that the youth of today must also be trained on various social issues like save water, planting trees and hazards associated with the use of plastic. The Chief Guest also took a round of the school campus and was highly impressed with the school infrastructure and sports facilities being provided by DPS Udhampur. He assured full support to school for development of sports at the school campus.
