Prof. Bhim Singh Chairman JKNPP and member National Integration Council, while appreciating the secular will demonstrated by the people of Jammu and Kashmir since 1990 and during recent protests in Jammu, has appealed to the Kashmiri brethren to keep away from the political hawks and help restore peace and tranquility in the trouble torn state.. The Panthers Supremo also demanded high powered Judicial Commission to enquire into the circumstances and situation that led the present land conflict and to bring the culprits to justice. He demanded that Pakistan should respond to the Indian proposal for opening of the Muzaffrabad route for trade and tourism. The Panthers Party Chief also urged the Governor to amend the Shri Amar Nath Shrine Board Act, 2000 to pave way for the inclusion of the members from the state in the Board besides allotting the land to the Board without changing its proprietary status. This measure shall be acceptable to both sides, he observed. Meanwhile, the rally hunger strike launched by JKNPP, in support of movement for restoration of land to SASB and to impress on the Governor to implement the proposal submitted by Prof. Bhim Singh, entered 14th day today. Among other who resorted to hunger strike today include Ashok Kumar, Tehsil President Hiranagar, Rajesh Sharma Block President Hiranagar, Brahm Dayal Sharma Block Secy., Mool Raj Sharma President Ex-Serviceman Cell, Thoru Ram Sharma Vice-President, Raman Sonu Young Panthers and V.
