| Shastri appeal govt implement 6th pay commission recommendation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 18
President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has urged upon the J&K government to implement 6th pay commission recommendations in favor of state employees and pensioners immediately as the pay panel report have already been implemented by the centre as well as neighbouring states of Haryana, UP, Delhi and Sikkim. Addressing a meeting of NMC workers Shastri said that it was hoped that J&K would be the first state to implement the pay commission report but UP, Delhi, Haryana and Sikkim have taken a lead. Keeping in view of the steep hike in prices of the essential and record inflation the salaried class is facing unprecedented economic hardships and it is high time that the state government comes to their rescue by implementing the said report in toto, he said. Pledging the cause of central and the state government employees Shastri appealed the union government to immediately release the pending installment of DA @ 12 % due from July this year. He also urged for declaring Jammu as B1 city. Prominent among those who addressed the meeting were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil KOcchar, Pt. Dushyant Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma and A.Malik. |
