| PP President court arrest at Sainik Colony | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 18
Chander Mohan Sharma, senior member of SAYSS and president of J&K Praja Parishad (PP) court arrest along with senior workers numbering 5000 at Sainik Colony here today. Addressing the gathering before his arrest, Sharma said that this agitation is a struggle for the maintenance of rule of law in the state. Persons who are challenging the sovereignty and the constitution of India are being pampered by the govt. of India and on the other hand those who are strengthening India Nationalism and demanding implementation of high court order on the transfer of land to Shrine Board are forced to go to jails. He described UPA govt weak and lack of will on the part of govt is weakening the democracy, secularism and nationalism in the country. He asked UPA govt to curb, Talibanism and fundamentalism in Kashmir with iron hands and establish rule of law and justice by providing 800 kanals of land to shrine board at Baltal immediately and not to shut eyes to the recent developments in the Kashmir, where national flag was pulled down and burnt. Other prominent who courted arrest include Ashwani Gupta, Arvind Sharma, Arun Rajwal, Raman Nagotra, Aditya Gupta and Col. K.S. Paudwal. |
