Beating their opponent in straight sets, Volleyball Club Pindi Kathair lifted the Volleyball tournament, which was organized under the presidentship of Moulvi Ghulam Hazrat at Peer Baba shrine, Bari Brahmana on Independence Day.
In the final, Pindi Club defeated Volleyball Club Allah in straight sets 25-21, 25-16, 25-22. Roshan Lal and Sham Sunder played well for the winners Pindi Club while Rakesh Charak, Raj Kumar Sham Charak and Vicky Singh fought well from Allah Club.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, Volleyball Club Allah beat Tej Tuffan Club 3-1 (25-17, 14-25, 25-21, 25-21) and Pindi Club trounced Allah Club 25-21, 25-18, 11-25, 25-21.
Senior BJP leader, Chander Prakash Ganga was chief guest, who gave away the prizes. The winners got a cash prize of Rs 1500 along with a trophy while losers Allah Club bagged Rs 1000 cash prize. |
