| CJM directs to produce medical record in criminal complaint | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 18
Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, YP Bourney, after recording the statement of Lalit Slathia r/o Nagrota and his witness Rakesh Thakur in a criminal complaint, has directed to produce medical record on August 25, 2008. This Court direction has been passed in a criminal complaint filed by the complainant Lalit Slathia s/o Krishan Singh Slathia r/o Nagrota against SHO P/S Nagrota in which the complainant said while purchasing medicines for his ailing mother on August 6 at Nagrota he was caught by a police party headed by SHO P/S Nagrota. The accused SHO along with other members of the police party subjected the complainant to beating in the bazaar and thereafter he was taken to police station and was kept in confinement till 8 pm. During the custody the accused was again beaten with a stick and blows resulting in multiple injuries all over the body, the complainant said. The accused then tried to kill the complainant by hitting with a ‘DANG’ but the complainant saved his head but his left arm got fractured by the act of the accused. The complainant further submitted that due to severe pain the accused released the complainant from the illegal custody at 8 pm where after the complainant got himself examined by the doctors in the GMC. The complainant in his complaint prayed before the Court for initiating case against the accused u/s 307 RPC attempt to murder. Court after recording the statement of the complainant and witness directed to produce the medical record. JNF |
