Non- appearance of advocates badly affects work in subordinate courts
BAJ condoles Adv. Chopra’s demise

The work in the Subordinate Court remained paralyzed on the 49th consecutive day today as advocates stayed away from the courts on the call of the Bar Association Jammu.
The High Court, however, is closed due to vacations.
A team of the Bar Association Jammu comprising its Vice President CM Sharma, General Secretary Pawan Manni, Sr. Advocates DC Raina, UK Jalali, SS Lehar and Advocates RK Gupta Abhinav Sharma, Ajay Sharma, DS Chouhan, MP Singh Palli President Young lawyer Association visited GMC Jammu to enquire about the condition of victims of Kishtwar violence, who were shifted to Jammu for medical treatment.
BAJ demanded adequate compensation for the loss of the property in favour of the suffering people and also demanded free and proper medical facilities to the victims of Kishtwar violence.
The BAJ has appealed to general masses to remain vigilant against the vested interests who are attempting to weaken the ongoing agitation regarding Shri Amarnath Ji land row and to stand united to fight this decisive battle of discrimination with Jammu by the Kashmir centric politicians.
Earlier, the Bar Association Jammu in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of its Vice President Chander Mohan Sharma unanimously decided that BAR members shall start court arrest from tomorrow to strengthen the call of Jail Bharo Andolan given by the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti. According to the secretary Bar Association Pawan Manni the Advocates will assemble at High Court complex Janipur and thereafter start a procession towards P/S Janipur.
The Association also condoled the sad demise of Adv Kanwal Chopra senior member of the BAJ who passed on yesterday at Apollo Hospital New Delhi and expressed shock over his death. The members also observed two minutes silence and prayed to almighty for peace for the departed soul and courage to the braved family. JNF
