| AWWA foucs on Girl child | | | Early Times Reporter

With an aim of achieving empowerment through awareness, welfare and growth, a week long welfare programme of Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) was inaugurated by Mrs Pratima Saini, President Tiger Artillery Brigade at Kaluchak, Jammu. The series of events will focus on various welfare programmes and interactive sessions on empowerment of the girl child through projects like ‘Nanhi Pari’ and ‘Masoom’ with the aim of initiating of a thought process about caring for the girl child.
It will also include various lectures and debates on preventive therapy, health and nutritious diet for girls, conflict management between parents and children and certain competitions like healthy baby, Fancy dress, Cooking, Mehandi, Rangoli, Hair style and Good house keeping. The event will culminate with celebration of AWWA day on 23 August 2008. |
