12th attempt on PDP office

The enraged agitators today made an attempt to ransack the office building of Peoples Democratic Party here in Gandhi Nagar but the Police prevented any major untoward incident.
This was the twelfth time when the angry mob, protesting for withdrawal of 800 kanals of land from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, made an attempt to ransack PDP office. This time the protestors could damage the outside billboard of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba as Police prevented their entry inside the office.
Holding national tricolour in their hands large number of activists shouting slogans assembled outside the regional headquarters of the PDP and destroyed large hoardings with pictures of party patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Chief Mehbooba Mufti and entrance gate in Gandhi Nagar area.
Before reaching the PDP office the protestors had attacked buses in Dogra chowk area and pelted stones on vehicles.They also blocked traffic on the main road connecting Jammu city with Jammu Pathankot national highway and on the Tawi bridge linking walled city are with the rest of the city.
