1162 trucks cross Jawahar Tunnel today

As many as 407 trucks laden with fresh fruit left the valley for Jammu and other parts of the country during the last 24 hours since 2 .pm yesterday while as during the same period 755 trucks carrying essential commodities and fuel entered the valley from Jammu.
According to a spokesman of the Divisional Administration, of the 755 load carriers that entered the valley during last 24 hours up to 2 pm today, 191 trucks carried rice, 25 flour, 22 sheep, 14 chicken, 78 diesel, 30 petrol, 57 K oil, 34 LPG while as 663 load carriers left the Valley for onward journey to Jammu and other parts of the country during the same period.
As many as 48 trucks laden with vegetables, 137 empty tankers and 71 other trucks also left the valley for Jammu in the same period, the spokesman added.
