The Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Chhering Dorge today conveyed a districft officers meeting and reviewed the progress of stocking of essential commodities for Leh district. These commodities include LPG, Petrol, Diesel, rice, wheat sugar, K Oil, milk products, drugs etc.
As per a release, Chhering Dorge while addressing to the meeting strongly urged upon the concerned departments and agencies to ensure sufficient stocking of essential commodities in all respects before the closure of Srinagar Leh highway.
In view of on going abnormal situation in Srinagar and Jammu, the CEC, said that the stocking process could be disturbed. In that case, the concerned agencies without losing time, should for the alternative solution using Manali Leh road to ensure targeted stocking of all essential commodities in Leh, so that the pace of developmental work in the district as well as the common masses may not suffer, Dorge said, the release added. |
