The small scale transporter’s have demanded compensation from the govt as during the lost 50 days they had no work due to bandh and strike in the state. Addressing a press conference here today transporter’s said, now it has become difficult for the families dependent on transport industry. They said the administration should look into the matter seriously and save from starvation, besides it becomes difficult to pay installments of the vehicles. They said that trucks and buses be paid Rs. 3000 per day, while taxi is Rs. 2000 per day, Matadors and Auto rickshaws Rs. 1500 and Rs. 800 per day respectively. Among others present in the meeting were Avtar Singh, Paramdeep Singh Aullakh, Jagjeet Singh, Balbir Singh, Janak Singh, Manmohan Singh, Surinder Singh, Davinder Singh, Tezinder Singh, Harmeet Singh, Gazan Singh, Jagbeer Singh, Surjeet Singh and Mehar Singh. |
