A woman was beaten by his in laws here at village Bablian under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station here today.The woman identified as Inderjeet Kour was beaten his own husband Zorawar Singh along with his family members. She was taken to GMC hospital for treatment.In his police statement Inderjeet Kour who is also a government teacher at Soul higher secondary school said that her in laws demanded dowry which her father was not in a position to give and today her in laws gave her beating and left her from their house.A complaint has been lodged in Women Cell against the family members identified as Kamaljeet Kour,Bitu Singh,Gurdev Singh and Balbir Kour in this regard and police is investigating the matter. |
