Junior doctors will attend only emergency services from tomorrow this was stated by the doctors on the request of Sangarsh Samiti and Bar association in a meet held at GMC hospital conference hall today. Junior doctors went on strike after the incident of doctor Veneet Kumar’s beat by the police yesterday and the doctors gave call for strike. Today in order to restore the hospital services Sangarsh Samiti activists and Bar association held a meet with the doctors and requested them to resume their duties. Doctors agreed with the proposal but said that if the authority with in seventy two hours do not produce the real culprit with suspension order they will again go on indefinite strike. Doctor Veneet showing leniency said that if the concerned SHO apologized with the act done by the police officers under his jurisdiction they will resume with their works . Bar association in order to cool down the matter assured them that if the authority do not accede with their demand a PIL would be filed against the authority in CJM court. Later they held a rally which started from the GMC hospital and culminated at SMGS hospital. Pertinent to mention here that police has registered a case against those angry doctors in GMC hospital who manhandled with the senior police officer, put fuel in the fire. |
