National Conference today appreciated decision of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) to hold dialogue with the Governor's panel and hoped for an early amicable solution to the land row. "we appreciate the SASS' decision to set up a committee to hold dialogue with the Governor's panel and hope an early amicable and acceptable solution to the crisis will be found out," provincial president Ajay Sadhotra told reporters here. He hoped the dialogue process, to be held tomorrow, would be conducted in a congenial environment with an earnest effort from both sides to find a solution which could address the genuine aspirations and urges of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Sadhotra appealed to the people of the state to maintain traditional communal harmony, saying violence of any kind would derail the dialogue process. The NC leader also appealed to the government to provide compensations to those who suffered losses in the ongoing land row, ensure security to life and property of people especially of minorities and take effective measures to check any sort of migration. Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti, spearheading the ongoing agitation here, yesterday announced a four-member committee to discuss the land issue with the Governor's panel headed by S S Bleoria. |
