| Jammu agitation secular: Andrabi | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 22
"The agitation launched in Kashmir by separatists and the pseudo-separatist mainstream politicians for cancellation of the land allotment to Amarnath Shrine Board was completely communal and it was fought on anti-national agenda by won and all while as the Jammu agitation is totally non-communal and nationalistic," said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi while addressing a press conference in Jammu today. She said that the role of Kashmiri leadership ranging from Geelani to Mehbooba Mufti, from Omar Abdullah to Omar Farooq and from Tarigami to Hakeem Yaseen has been contributing a lot in communalizing the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. She said these leaders were instrumental in labeling the secularist and nationalistic struggle of Jammuties as communal and propagating separatism by spreading baseless rumors about Jammu in Kashmir Valley. Dr Darakhshan said that she has witnessed both the agitations in Kashmir valley and in Jammu, and she has no hesitation in saying that Kashmir agitation was fearful, violent, Pakistan sponsored and terrorizing while as Jammu agitation is disciplined, sober, nationalistic and inclusive. Dr Andrabi said that the role of state and the central governments is very dejecting. For the last sixty years we have not changed our tendency of bowing before anti-nationals and ignoring nationalists. She said on the behest of New Delhi, J&K politics has always been allowed to flourish on regional and communal bias and we are reaping the crops of this all now for the last twenty years. Dr Andrabi said that ‘as a proud Muslim and an Indian I keep no ambiguity in my political thought and action. I know the boost to communalism, terrorism oriented separatism and anti-nationalism in Kashmir is the last flame of the candle and I am sure it will extinguish soon and new era of hope and development in India's crown state J&K will start soon’. She vowed to fight and saluted Jammuties for upholding Tricolor throughout their agitation and urged state and central governments to wake up now from their deep slumber and hear the voice of the nationalists lest it is too late. |
