| AWWA holds interaction with Veer Naris | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 22
Many brave soldiers of Akhnoor region of Jammu and Kashmir have made the supreme sacrifice to ensure the territorial integrity of the nation. The Indian Army has taken up the cause for ensuring a better life for the brave Veer Naris (War widows), parents and children of our martyrs. Today, a special function was organized at Akhnoor by Crossed Swords Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), to honour the Veer Naris, of the Akhnoor region. Gita Karwal, President, AWWA, White Knight Corps and Sayona Philip, President AWWA, Crossed Swords Division, personally interacted with over 40 Veer Naris from villages neighbouring Akhnoor, Jauriyan and Pallanwala. President highlighted the various welfare measures initiated for the Veer Naris and emphasized that a system of continuous monitoring of their welfare has been instituted. She then felicitated all Veer Naris and interacted with them with regard to their well being and assured them that all efforts are being made to address all their needs. |
