| KPs accuse govt. of accommodating Pak within India | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 23
Coming down heavily on central government for watching the recent anti India and pro Pak developments in Kashmir as mute spectator, Kashmiri Pandits have accused it of accommodating Pakistan within India. Addressing a joint press conference here on Saturday, KP leaders, Dr. Agnishekher, Virender Raina, Ajay Chrangoo and O.N Trisal expressed their anguish over the recent mute stance of central government despite open anti national statements by Syeed Ali Shah Geelani, other separatist leaders and so called main stream leaders of the valley. Strongly condemning the forces behind providing legitimacy to separatism, the leaders said that some so called experts all across the country are helping the cause of separatists for their personal gains. "We warn government of India to desist from any maneuvers to accord legitimacy to any for of Muslim separatism in any form," they said and added that the so called bunch of experts were infact the over ground workers of Separatist forces. The leaders expressed grave concern over the recent statements of congress criticizing the present movement in Jammu. "The congress leaders could not find any thing communal from the statements of Geelani, Mehbooba and Umar Farooq but could find every thing anti Muslim in the strike of Jammuties against the revocation of a piece of land," they said. Describing the stance of central government as soft, they said that the statement of Umar Abdullah deserved action who on the floor of the house gave a communal statement against the allotment of land to SASB. Decrying Geelani for his statements, they said that he was never a Kashmiri and as such he always thinks in terms of Geelan. " He is a symbol of the disease which would destroy India unless cured in time," they added. In a befitting reply to the central leadership which described the Jammu agitation as communal, the KP leaders said that the movement of Jammu is a civilizational response to civilizational onslaught. |
