| JSM (P) asks for reorganization of the state | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 23
Jammu State Morcha (P) has asked the Government of India to reorganize the Jammu and Kashmir State as this is the only viable alternative left to solve the present imbroglio so as to meet the aspirations of the people of all the regions of the state. In a statement, president JSM (P) Prof. Virender said that they strongly believes that the solution to Jammu and Kashmir problem lies in the trifurcation of the state into three states of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir along with the creation of Union Territory for Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities as a separate security zone within the Kashmir Valley. The Paharis, Gujjars and Shia Muslims of Kashmir Valley who are feeling insecure and suffocated in the present set and have been discriminated against, exploited and ill treated by the so called Kashmiri main stream leaders can also be accommodated in the proposed Union Territory, he added. He also said that the greater autonomy or self rule which is being proposed by the Kashmir leaders must be confined only to the Kashmir Valley and the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions must be given the choice of forming their own State Governments under the Indian Constitutions as per their aspirations. "The Shri Amarnath Shrine land row has exposed the communal, secessionist, anti-India and anti-Jammu agenda of the Kashmiri leaders including those of so called mainstream parties like PDP, NC, CPI (M) and Indian National Congress" he said , adding that the situation created by Kashmiri leaders on the land issue; engineering communal and regional divide of the state. |
